Mentorship is critical, not only to becoming a physician, but throughout your career and life. We would like to connect premedical and medical students to physician mentors. We are looking for students who would like to be connected to a mentor, and we are also looking for physician mentors.
Obtaining a Mentor:
In order to make sure that our mentees receive a uniform experience during their mentee-mentor relationship, White Coat Black Doctor requires a minimum amount of mentor-mentee meetings per year, along with the discussion of a few topics to include: the medical school application process (if applicable), personal health and wellness, tips for the daily practice of medicine/patient interaction and discussion on ways to increase cultural competency in daily practice. If assigned a mentee, we will send additional information regarding these yearly requirements. Please feel free to email us if you have any questions!
Becoming a Mentor:
We are interested in connecting premedical and medical students to physician mentors. If you are interested in being a mentor, please submit your name and email below and state that you are interested in mentoring a student. Please share if you have any particular areas of concentration.
